Privacy Policy | Ecologic Life

This is a provisional version, based on the official privacy notice template from the CNIL (the French data protection authority) for an online sales website. It will be reviewed and, if needed, completed by Ecologic Life’s legal counsel.

Data controller

SARL SAD (Ecologic Life), registered office at 32 rue de Comboire, 38130 Échirolles, France, SIRET 523 289 619 00018, is the controller of the personal data collected on ecologiclife.fr.

Why do we collect your data?

Your data is collected and used for the following purposes:

Managing your order, payment and delivery (legal basis: performance of the sales contract).
Managing your customer account (“My account”), whether individual or business, including your order history and addresses (legal basis: performance of the contract).
Processing your business registration (company name, SIRET, intra-EU VAT number) and approving your B2B account (legal basis: pre-contractual steps taken at your request).
Responding to your custom quote requests and messages exchanged with our team (legal basis: legitimate interest in handling your request).
Responding to messages sent through our contact form (legal basis: legitimate interest).
Keeping the website secure and protected from spam, through an anti-bot test (reCAPTCHA), only after you consent via the cookie banner (legal basis: consent).

Who do we share your data with?

Your data is shared only with the recipients necessary for the purposes above:

The Ecologic Life team, to manage your order and account.
Stripe, our payment provider, to securely process your card payment. Ecologic Life never stores your card details.
Our carriers (DPD, Mondial Relay), to deliver your order: only the information they need (name, address, phone number).
Our host, IONOS (1&1 Internet SARL France), for the technical hosting of the site.

We never sell or rent your personal data to third parties.

How long do we keep your data?

Order and billing data: ten (10) years, in line with our legal accounting and tax obligations.
Customer account data: for the duration of our business relationship, then three (3) years after your last contact with us, unless you ask us to delete it sooner.
Payment data (card details): never stored by Ecologic Life; processed directly by Stripe, our licensed payment provider.
Quote requests and messages: for as long as needed to handle your request, then archived for the applicable legal warranty period.

Your rights

Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), you have the following rights over your personal data:

Right of access: obtain confirmation of whether your data is processed, and access it.
Right to rectification: have inaccurate or incomplete data corrected.
Right to erasure: request deletion of your data, within the limits of our legal retention obligations.
Right to restriction of processing.
Right to object, on grounds relating to your particular situation.
Right to data portability for the data you provided us.

If, after contacting us, you believe your rights have not been respected, you may lodge a complaint online with the CNIL (www.cnil.fr), the French data protection authority.

Cookies

A banner lets you accept or decline cookies on your first visit. Until you give consent, the reCAPTCHA anti-bot test (used only on the contact form) does not load. You can change your choice at any time using the “Revoke consent” button at the bottom of this page.

This privacy policy may be updated, in particular once the final text drafted by our legal counsel is integrated. The last update date is shown below.
